Picasa

Flickr
Flickr allows you to keep a blog of pictures captured on your cameraphone, digital camera or video camera. Images can also be securely and privately shared. You can give your colleagues, students and other contacts permission to organize images - not just to add comments, but also make notes and tags. And as all this info accretes as metadata, you can find things so much easier later on, since all this info is also searchable.
